Mesmerizing Lake

Situated 12 km away from main Udaipur City, Badi Lake or Tiger Lake or nowadays known as Bahubali Hills, it is a mesmerizing place to visit in Udaipur. I went on a short trip to Udaipur and while I was researching the place to visit Badi Lake was the one which I was eager to visit and get photographed.

One can reach Badi Lake via Cabs or rented vehicles, it is a very known and touristy place in Udaipur. I don’t know much about the history of the place as a tourist but the place is very serene and beautiful.

Badi Lake is a vast spread lake but the view from the hills is what makes it more worth. To go and have the scenic view from the hills, one needs to go about 1-2 km hike. The path is unpaved and has red soil to walk upon, I went Udaipur in monsoon, so the place was too slippery due to red soil and I am not that fit for treks or hikes. And when I packed my white shoes for the trip, I did not have the idea of red soil.  I was a bit less prepared for the hike and wore casual sandals that were not giving the grip and the path was slippery.

But I continued to go uphill, slowly and took my own time because I was determined to go and get a good photograph at the place. As we reached the top there was a steep path for the place I wanted my photograph, I was a bit nervous and not confident that I could go to that place, but fellow people encouraged me and I gathered all my confidence and will to get that photograph which I had planned when I started planning for the trip. So went down the steep path and yes I got that photograph. And sat around 15-20 minutes just taking in the beauty of that place, the dark clouds, and the Sun playing hide and seek with clouds, and I found my serene in that crowded but in my own calm place.
